tommy john for a position player doesn't matter and you can project that he will age much better than adrian gonzales. first baseman have a history of aging poorly.

dodgers are taking in lot of money....jesus christ...crawford and beckett are junk....boston had to give up gonzalez to ged rid of those 2 guys.

boston is in rebuilding stage from now on.

dodgers wont win shit even with that lineup.

i like how everyone saying Crawford is junk lol. Boston ruined him. a new scenery and he will be back on top of his game. it was only 2-3 years ago this guy was in the running for MVP all the time. one of the most dynamic players on the field when at the top of his game and no he has not lost a step.

yeah it's done. heard report on radio. some big reporter is saying its completed.
just a salary dump by the sox.
red sox nation fed up, nothing but hate around here until today.

can't believe dodgers were foolish enough to do this.

He ruined himself by playing terrible last year, plus he can't seem to stay healthy. He will be 32 next year, and is clearly on the decline in his career. If you think he is anywhere near the MVP level any more then you haven't watched him play much since he left the Rays.

gonzales will be a slightly better than average hitter
crawford will be an average outfielder
beckett will be an average 3-4th rotation starter
punto is a good infield utility pickup.

dodgers got raped. bad. now they won't be players

Red Sox throwing away the trash. Fitting it lands in Los Angeles.

                                  Giants still win the division.

I can't believe the Sox only had to pay $15 million
I thought it was going to be closer to $30.

                                    Garbage pickup charge.

                                        so anyway.

the main point of this is for the Red Sox to clear up cap space to bring in starting pitching but who the hell is on the market next year that is even worth it?

What planet are you living on Gonzales slightly better than average?? Crawford average? You've lost your mind. Crawford has been hurt, ok but calling him average is just stupid. Calling Gonzales slightly above average is even more stupid. He has not had an average season in For about 10 years.

no offense to all new englander fans, but the biggest whiners in sports root for the Pats or Sox..... Dodgers did it right with a trade, they weren't trying to buy a championship in free agency like the Red Sox and Yankees always attempt. Obvious lack of harmony in Boston probably rejuvinates Beckett and Crawford, while Gonzo is simply good enough to produce without regard to what uniform he is in, or the attitudes and personalities that surround him.......

Beckett washed up. Crawford washed up and injury prone. Gonzalez on the decline. Reminiscent of a Dan Snyder acquisition.

Dodgers are the biggest suckers in the history of sports.

Beckett is washed up yes. But how do people keep saying Gonzalez is on decline. Look at his stats. He is on pace for another .300 30hr and over 100 RBI season

Will give them maybe 5 more wins for $250 million.....not worth it and bad move by Dodgers mgmt. Bunch of washed up players for $250 million. They should have went out and got more pitching not offense. That Dodgers lineup will still get punked by that formidable Giants pitching lineup in the playoffs.
