His tax returns will be better scrutinized by the public than it would ever be by the IRS. 250 million eyeballs, he can't hide shenanigans. The fact is that all of this is being done to take people off the issues on hand. Abortion? Give me a break. Everybody knows that women's rights are not going to be infringed upon, and if you don't, you need to take a harder look. After 40 years of Roe vs. Wade, it would be political suicide to try and reverse it. Tax returns? I already said my two cents on that. This should stay on important issues that affect us NOW. Economy, jobs, Medicare, Obamacare, etc. If Obama has a record proving he's the man, then come forward and sell it to us. If not, get out of the way Mr. President, and let someone else give it a stab.

I doubt he was audited post-2008. We don't even know for a fact that he has been audited, but if so it could easily have been decades ago. He's been a taxpayer for over 30 years.

All I know is if he is clean then he's an idiot for not releasing returns and allowing this to fester. I was kinda giving his campaign the benefit of the doubt in figuring that he's got something to hide. If prior returns as basically just like 2010 then why the hell not release them. Everyone knows he's rich and made a lot of money. A few extra tax returns isn't going to change that.

When you have an incumbent running for reelection, its up to them to prove why they deserve a second shot. Obama's asking the country to believe in the direction he has lead us in over the last 4 years. If he can't make that point, Romney benefits.

Romney's taxes are validated and true by the OBAMA staffed IRS. As a high income tax payer you best believe his taxes have been given a personal look over to decide whether or not to audit them. The only issue is whether or not he has lawfully complied with the tax code and the fact that he hasn't been hauled into court by the IRS proves that he has.

It used to be understood that this is OUR MONEY and the gov't needs to justify taking it. Now we are called upon to justifty not handing it over the gov't. Deplorable.

College grades, transcripts, etc, are all automatically protected (or "sealed") by law - he did not have to do anything. You and I have the same protections.

Any of the other "protections" through Executive Order are common, and apply only to his presidential record, not school or other personal records. The EO that is commonly cited as him "sealing" his past, undoes an order by GWB that allows president's (or their family) to claim Executive Privilege for virtually any reason, long after they have served as president.
