The Pirates have been miserable for about a month and everything points to the Cards EXCEPT.......

When AJ pitches at PNC it's like the world series/super bowl combined. AJ is Pittsburgh favorite son right now and even though he's pitched great on the road this year, there's something extra when he's at home. I'm not gonna bet real money on the Pirates. AJ just makes it a no play or me.

LOL have you looked at the stats? Pitt has lost 5 of thier last 6 after the Cards took 2 out of 3 from them. Lohse is going on the mound and has sub 2 ERA in his last three starts giving up just 11 hits in something like 24 innings pitched.

meanwhile Burnett is losing his shit, with his ERA close to 7 his past 3 starts, a whip of 1.77 and rocked for 28 hits in 18 innings pitching.

this is not a line up he wants to face tonight. the cards bats are beyond on fire and will destroy burnett tonight.

Pads were awful at the beginning of the season. But now they're not the garbage team everyone makes them out to be. How else can you explain them against the Reds? And they're on a nice little run right now.

The Pads like playing spoilers and have shown they can rise up for the right teams. That's not a "suck" team, just an inconsistent one.

All that said, I don't know if AJ will continue his regression or bounce back.
