Have you ever caught a foul ball?

I've been to countless ballgames never came close to a foul ball...I took my little nephew to a w sox @ KC game, lil fuker catches a foul ball.

Got one off the bat of Reggie Jackson in Yankee stadium back in the day. Grabbed it simultaneously with another guy and he let me keep it. Think I was about 15.

caught two.. and have had players toss me a couple as well.. its easy if you sit behind the dugout.. u can usually get a catcher to toss you one..

Guy in our group caught a foul once at Camden. Without even thinking he gives it to the little twerp in front of us.

till this day it still haunts me.

was at a Mets game about 4-5 sections up right behind home plate. guys where fouling pitches straight back and not even coming close to our section at all, figured NO SHOT. well Piazza comes up blasts one straight back, towering shot lol, had to lean over the railing but the thing was still smoking fast the seems were spinning so hard, as i am leaning over the railing i feel my feet give out, all at the same time as the ball is hitting my hands, i feel myself begin to lose balance n start to lean n fall over the railing, get that tingly feeling in your feeling and your heart drops to your stomach (yes im afraid of heights) all while the ball hits my cuffed hands and bounces out.

yeah funny you said that.. they were in the old stadium...

one of them was on a sunday day game and i was sitting in a box.. no one was even by us...

At Camden yards I forget who it was but in batting practice hit two home runs back to back straight at me in left field seats. The first one I got, the second I let my friend catch with his glove.

ex girlfriend got one at Angel stadium, we used to go a lot back in the day as the guy she worked for had season tickets. But we sat right behind first base and about 5 or 6 rows in. A lot of foul balls there for some reason. Even saw a bat or two fly into the area.

Coming back to our seats carrying a tray of beers, I hear the crack of the bat and a foul ball comes right at me, ends up bouncing at my feet. Split second decision, wish I let the beers fly.

Nice to hear lots of people passing their catches on to surrounding kids, I had someone give me a puck that went over the glass when I was six or seven. Made my week.

As has been mentioned. Have gone to countless games, and not even close enough to make me stand. Sit in the bleachers half the time and the closest I ever was still a row or three away and 7 seats down at least.. The other times I sit down the line close to the field - foul ball heaven. Haven't gotten close.

No. Got a foul ball when I least expected it though. Sitting 3 rows behind home plate at wrigley, bounced in 5th row and trickled down on the ground.

I've caught a ball thrown from Fukudome in between innings to fans in right field as well. He was aiming it for an asian couple next to me and my girlfriend at the time. I snagged it. Superior athletics. Funny thing, the asian guy was like man come on and put his hands up and Fukudome just shrugged back at him.

M's & Chi Sox @ Safeco field. Hit a few rows behind me off of AJ Pierzynski's bat. Fortunately noone in either section beside us. Gave it to the Girl I was with.

No, but closest I came was at a New Haven Ravens (AA level?) game about 17 years ago and Trot Nixon fouled one down the third base line that bounced up and off of my fingertips. I still remember it - all I had to do was get up out of my seat a couple more inches, but it happened too fast...

Also, my first game at Shea Stadium, circa 1985, had a foul ball land two seats over from me. Too small to have had any chance at it, though. I was just trying not to drop my magic-motion baseball card that came in the Cracker Jacks box

Never caught a foul ball however i did catch a home run in the right field seats off the bat of Chili Davis in batting practice...i was approx 9-10 yrs old...this was at Royals stadium which i have attended several games but its been a while...

Caught one off the bat of Dan Uggla in the new Citi Field last year. My wife made me give it to some kid who was crying because of all the commotion. I was pissed.
