Chiefs overachieved by 3 games last year, due for a correction this year; SD will finally win the west.

Now there is an astute response! Stick to the play station little fella. They were 10-6 ATS last year and they are BETTER San Diego is the best team in that division and thats not saying much, JUST dont SLEEP on them thats all. Let me guess you like Denver, Good luck with that because ALL QBS GET BETTER after 36 years, Peyton is FINISHED and hes going out like Favre, Montana, Marino,Namath etc etc. Please tell me this place is better then Covers because its not off to a good start.

Not applicable because Chiefs have better running backs this year and as mediocre as Cassel is, it still better having him for a full year over Tyler Palko.

I agree that Raiders will finish last and I disagree that they are better. They could be OK offensively if McFadden stays healthy, but Bush will be missed if he gets hurt again. More importantly, the defense simply lost too many guys from last year. And three coaches in three years hurts. If Allen is allowed to stick around, Raiders could be good in a year or two. I don't like them this year though.

One thing we can all AGREE on is that Division is GARBAGE. The NFL should eliminate divisions and put the whole league in a straight line so things like a 12-4 Steeler team doesnt have to go to an 8-8 Bronco team that wins a crappy division and ONLY GOT IN THE PLAYOFFS BECAUSE THE RAIDERS LOST THERE LAST GAME!!!!

I hear you but these things go in cycles. Maybe NFL can compress to three divisions per conference (never going to happen but you can always dream) but there will always be divisions.

Injuries are part of the NFL. If we can learn anything from the Chiefs roster last year is they had horrible depth, 2nd tier players were garbage!

Right and this year they have nice depth at RB and even the WRs are better. The Pythagorean regression theory works better when teams are almost the same from year to year.

If the 12-4 Steelers were so much better than the 8-8 Broncos they would win no matter where the game was played.

Division is fine. AFC South much worse.

                          Very competitive.

Close call there. The AFC West has four teams that are nearly equally mediocre at best. The AFC South has some god awful teams, but it also has the only team in either division that is legitimately good.

Yeah but three teams have a decent possibility of making the playoffs out of the west....the south has no such potential.

Houston is not that elite. Cup cake schedule last year. Division on a platter.

                              Name one impressive win?

We'll see how they do against the Pats/Packers......

Assuming they can make the playoffs. IF their starters can stay healthy the whole season, they will be a good team. Best roster in the NFL ... How so? So you are saying Matt Cassel is the best QB in the NFL? I disagree.

Defense and running game are legit, team is built for playoffs. Speaking of playoffs, they almost won at Baltimore with TJ Yates at quarterback, I think they will be fine if Schaub/Andre stay healthy. And I think they with get TWO cracks at Patriots.

With Schaub they got destroyed by Baltimore.

                                      # of wins by division, I still think AFC West wins more. Nice prop for a book.

He said best roster BESIDES QB. Their defense did manhandle opponents after Crennel took over as coach (including Packers), they do legitimately have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Offense is very sold at every position except QB, but I would not say they have best roster in NFL there. Although they are well balanced.

Taking the Chiefs at +115 to win over 8 games would also be a decent correlated play. The team clinching the West this year is more likely to win at least 9 games.
