Thats still only 10 or 20 bets. (too much but what most guys would play). So with 1500 you bet 75 or 150 a side and go from there. it is all relative.

Thats why football is the ultimate deceit because if you could afford a 50K bankroll then the winnings on it are the same as some degenerate who had to scrape together 1500 to play with. It is all a matter of perspective. If you turn 1500 into 25K you are doing a hell of a lot better for yourself than some guy who turns 50K into 200K Meaning 25K to a broken down sap like you is a lot more money than 200K is to some millionaire who pisses away money left and right for the fun of it. seriously. im a single guy and i have about 17k just in bills. that doesnt include food, gas, or entertainment. need at least 45k to live a minimally good life.

around here if you don't have any income you get rent assistance so $1000/mo place is $300 and you get free utilities. Also free food stamps of $300/month.

the 'everything's relative' argument doesn't always apply in gambling.
the only way to determine the true value of someone's roll (to that individual) is to understand what their personal balance sheet looks like - cash on hand, short and long-term debt (if any) and any investment equity they may have. knowing their monthly cash flow would help too.

another false inference is that everyone's roll represents only a small % of their net worth and losing it isn't a big deal on their financial outlook.
