Astros Put Mills Out Of His Misery
Its kind of like firing the captain of the Titanic after they hit the iceberg. The Astros probably did Mills a favor more than anything.

Agree not going to get any better next year heading to the AL West.

Creating a new image for their move to the AL. Mills was doomed to fail. Nobody on the planet was going to be able to manage that team to be competitive.

I actually think they are going to challenge the 1962 Mets next year.

Tigers team also from early 2000s

            I could really see 43-119

            Something along those lines

Tony DeFrancesco is the interim manager. He was their AAA manager this year. Makes sense. Its a minor league team.

Funny how they strongarmed new owner

Wouldnt approve him buying unless he agreed to AL move

I know they wanted to even out leagues but interleague games are fukkin played out

Now at least one interleague series all season

Astros interim manager Tony DeFrancesco: "I want to be the guy who changes the environment out there."

You got about $100 million for some new players?

Luhnow said he sensed some relief after telling Mills he had been dismissed. I wouldn't be surprised if Mills didn't hug him, and offer to suck his dikk after being fired.

Same old team today, but manager was announced 2 hours before game time. I'll be interested to see how they respond after about a week. DeFrancesco has done a solid job in the minors over the last few years. Can't remember the last time the Astros had a competitive AAA team, before this year, especially with the low quality level their farm system has been at.
