I don't think Obama will take the flags off the Presidential limo like Carter did early in his term, but I do believe there are major similarities. I was never convinced of Carter's fundamental patriotism, just like I have serious skepticism regarding Obama's love for America. Americans are desperate for a new approach, but I don't think they're spending enough time evaluating the exact nature of the new approach that we need. There were major differences in policy and priorities between Reagan and Papa Bush, just like there would be between Baby Bush and McCain.
