I have some free time this morning and I'd love to keep you company, but it appears that SBR suspended my chat privileges without so much as a word. I'm sure they feel they have good reasons, but it would be nice to have known what they were at that time. What's going on at this place? People getting their PMs deleted without notice, my chat is down without notice....the only way to have effective government is to have transparent government. I propose a central Sticky post where every Mod has to list the infractions/suspensions/bans they issue and give good reasons. This place is here to serve the SBR populace, not the egos of the Mods.

The chat isn't going to be like the forum. People don't have a way to know who is in there or what is going on since the chats scroll away. We see it working for people who meet to chat about a game...like instant messenger for posters. The night crowd has some fun.

I would believe that the chat room is a much quicker way of responding to questions, etc.

I do not like chat because you have to stay on the page all the time and cannot look at lines or do other stuff.

SBr Instant Messaging application would be entirely different and if it was like aol or something like that many guys would use it.

Each user has their own chat room, by the way. Just add /chat to the end of your MySBRforum.com address. Anyone in your network should be able to go in and chat immediately; those outside your network will be able to enter but start off in a MUTED state. The person to whom that chat room belongs becomes the mod of their own chat room and can choose to take the mute off a poster or boot them from their room.
