Massive layoffs at the beginning of both Bush terms and at the end. Sending us to 2 wars was the icing on the cake.

The common denominator is us. Not the govt, pres and it's two faced cronies. If we don't spend, there is no economy.

What is the single largest deduction from your pay check that's not tax deductible? HEALTH INSURANCE! Just imagine
the untold bets you could make with that extra $500 a month. A nicer home, a nice new car. How about a swimming pool?

We were attacked, and we responded piss poorly and compounded our problems. Now we are losing the economic cold war to China, while we lose control of who we are as Americans by the ever eroding of our civil rights under the guise of national security.

4 years cannot fix the damage that Bush did - no question. However, 4 years is enough time to implement policies to change the downward trend, and this is where Obama failed to deliver. Only silver lining is that if Obama wins another term, he is guaranteed out of office in 4 years - can't say the same of Romney.

Maybe but you want to give complete back to the party who had control of both houses and the presidency for 6 years of approximately the last decade who did nothing to stop the growth of government or reduce the deficit only grow it, but demonize the party who only had complete control for 2 years and did similar for those first two but now at least has the deficit going in the right direction when hedged against the other party. This is exactly what happened when the Republicans controlled the Congress and a Democrat was in the White House one served to force the other to actually make real strives.

Why you presumably want to go back to complete control by one party, I don't know. Because they promise they'll be better when they have complete control this time?

I mean the deficit is projected to be 900 billion next year, when Obama took office it was something like 1.4 trillion. That's a lot better than the direction it was headed between 2000 and 2008 which was from in the 10s-100 billion(no it wasn't completely balanced) to oh about 1.4 trillion.
