With Rep Ryan being selected as Mitt Romney’s running mate for the 2012 presidential election, a new focus has been put on entitlement reform, and budgets. Democrats have been going after Ryan for his wanting to have a discussion on how to fix Medicare. However when pressed, democrats cannot defend the $700 Billion in cuts to medicare Obama has passed into law.

That is right, Obama plans to cut $700 billion from medicare. These cuts will have an immediate affect on seniors. Romney wants to restore medicare and restore the $700 billion that Obama cut from Medicare back to medicare.

On Meet the Press, National Review’s Rich Lowry challenges MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow to defend the $700 Billion Obama has cut from Medicare. She cannot defend it and looks like a complete disingenuous idiot in the process.

Obama - has already withdrawn 500-700 Billion in funding to EXISTING recipients and benefits, with no choice. He has also admitted that if it wasn't done or changed even more that the system as we know it now would be over in 6-9 years at most....but lets just worry about that then, no changes to beneficiaries or new comers. Doctors are already making plans to not accept Medicare patients in the future due to the reimbursement hurdles to their private practices.

Romney - also wants to take the same amount out now but more focused on the fraud/overbilling areas in the admin areas. He and Ryan have made it clear, current model will not work so A) reform it and give future recipients the choice to either sign up to the new program or not....and the most important part, which nullifies the argument from the left about seniors being left in the cold - ANYONE 55 AND OLDER WILL SEE NO CHANGE TO THEIR BENEFITS.
