Bench has been upgraded........not saying it's a good bench, but no longer the worst in the NBA.

The biggest part of this equation is Nash. He will make it all work, and with ease.

Without Nash, this is just a slightly better NYK. With Nash, this team is deadly.

There are 3 teams in the NBA. Chi-town without Rose isn't in the running, and the NYK are a disaster.

Lakers are a very well balanced team. If they can manage to get decent production from their bench, I don't see how they don't at least reach the finals. While OKC has done close to nothing this offseason, the Lakers have revamped with Howard, Nash and Jamison.

All the pieces should fit in LA. Dwight will control the paint, Kobe will take the big shots, Pau will do his thing, and Nash will distribute. No two players in that lineup have a similar game to each other. I expect them to gel fast, unlike LeBron and Wade who took a lot of time to mesh because they have similar talents.

If the Spurs play like last year they can beat this potential Laker team. Would be about a pick em. They would have been a favorite over Miami in the finals and this Laker team does not look much better than the Heat or OKC.

If you can get the spurs at 7-1 to win the west bet that all day!
