Some Americans (i.e. conservatives and republicans basically) have this fantasy/delusion that everyone living outside of the United States of America is in love with the United States of America. News flash: Most of the world could care less about the USA.

Oh, we know that most of the world hate us because "They Mad", that we hunt for sport while they hunt to eat. They mad because we can flush fresh water down the toilet. They mad because they have to come to America to really get educated. They mad because we have real cool pro sports. They mad because we're the big brother that has to come and protect your ass when your neighbor want's to invade your country.

The only time countries care is when we have to step up to bail they're ass out physically or financially.

No country stays on top forever. The US has had a great run and probably has another half a generation as top dog. The further we move to the left the more we become like Spain, France, greece and Europe in general. There is no way to stop it imo. Countries like India maybe Brazil that can keep taxes low and get out of the way of business will be the next super powers.

Settle down what? Just pointing out that if the USA has people who compete in these "non-sports" and eventually become good your not going to give your fellow Americans credit?

I'm curious what is your definition of an actual sport?

Baseball has guys who use a bat to hammer a ball to allow them enough time to run through the bases. Hand-eye coordination to swing and make contact with the ball or catch/pitch. Running involved to catch the ball. Baseball pitch max speed around 90-100 something mph.

Badminton (not the backyard beach trash version you probably think of) player uses a racket to hit a shuttle downward into the opponents court before they can return it over the net. Hand-eye coordination to make contact with the shuttle. Can apply slice to make the shuttle rotate violently to make it difficult to hit back (Tennis players or other people who play racket sports can relate to this). Lunges, jumping (especially to allow you to hit the shuttle at a steeper angle with racket) etc to retrieve shuttle that travels >200 mph at top speed.


Like do you think anyone in the US would care about swimming or track and field as much as they do at the Olympics if say Jamaica won the 29 or so medals in track and field with U.S. winning 8 or whatever Jamaica has right now.

Only fair comparison population wise is Soviet Union which is still crushing like always. 155+ medals.

That's without using blacks/asians/etc. which is all the more impressive.
