i dont think thats the case, they dont have to dump his salary because there are teams that will trade for him
i see it as a gamble to get a franchise center
if the sixers wanted to dump his salary, they would have done so a long time ago

This makes more sense to me. Trading your two star big men for one star big man in return and Al Harrington who can hit the three and score too it's a gamble....but still Lakers break even talent wise on this trade at best. If Gasol stays and instead the Lakers throw in a first and second round pick along with Bynum then it's a nice deal for Los angeles.

I don't agree then. Lakers will be fun to watch and be a top 2 team in the West but still....I thought Troy Murphy was brought on to fill that role of a big man who can hit deep three's. Trading Gasol not a good move by L.A......Pau was very underrated.

Wow cool..:he's gonna rape a "twilight" Tim Duncan...awesome.....listen there is no denying Howard can be a force at times...but I watch him with the ball sometimes....and I just wonder why this guy doesn't have an offensive repertoire....it should be easy and it's not for him....there's a reason his teams never amounted tok much...:he's just not that next level special...Hes a phony as a person....and as a player he just lacks that something IMO...still a great deal for the lakers...needed something like this when their current roster was getting stale....but Dwight Howard couldn't lick the swimming trunks of a prime Tim Duncan
