Tuesday, they got me good. Wednesday, I am a toxic mother f-er. Laugh @ me. Tail me. Fade me. Do whatever the fukk you want. But, I am in revenge mode. Hitting the books, doing my homework and it's an Olympic f-ing marathon. Enjoy the train wreck. These are mostly STAT-hole plays, based on stats and the google ... looking to make around ten plays in all and six-seven winners to take a piece of that bookie ass. A lot of the plays will come from basketball ... but a few other spots I have done El Homeworko on.



6am ET: [Handball] Iceland -3 [-120]
The 2008 Silver medalists, Iceland, were 5-0 in Group A and scored the most goals with 167. In their five matches, they never scored less than 30. Hungary was 2nd lowest in Group B with 114 goals, but they saved their best for Serbia in their final match - a match they got them into the QFs. Still, they struggled for goals and this Iceland side does not look as if it is going to be stopped from putting up big numbers. These two sides met at the European Tournament back in January with Iceland winning 27-21. In Hungary's three losses in group play, two were by seven or more goals. Iceland, ho.

Volleyball Parlay: USA ML + Russia-Poland Over 3.5 sets (-116)
Team USA draws Italy in the QFs. They have faced the Italians four times between May and July. Italy whooped them in the 1st meeting, but then dropped the last three. They were competitive, but the US is playing better now and Italy struggling for consistency. They were beaten in straights by Bulgaria to end pool play, while Team USA beat a good Brazil squad in 4. Poland and Russia are two solid teams that look pretty evenly matched. It would be surprising to see one team sweep the other.

Volleyball: Brazil -2.5 sets (+115)
Big QF battle. Brazil has looked alternately awesome and vulnerable in group play. They crushed a solid Russian team 3-0, but lost to the US 3-1 and struggled to put away Serbia some, 3-2. Argentina is an up and comer and will be on a high after beating their group winner Bulgaria 3-0. Keep in mind that they played Bulgaria a lot during the summer and matgched them well every time. Brazil is the talent if they can be consistent. This bet would cover if Brazil wins 3-0.

Fixed the mistake on the outcome. Half a unit on this one.

I use a possessions formula for 2nd halves. Sometimes it works, sometimes like this it doesn't. Just because a half is low scoring or high scoring doesn't equate to anything for me. The possessions was right on with the number, so I went under because of the low offensive efficiency. Didn't pan out.

That last one was half a unit also. Had to post it quick and mobile, so could not edit. Meh. So far, so blah. At least Brazil cashed.

Time to get busssayyy with some Ws . Expecting this volleyball parlay to kick start things. Hopefully hoops gets back on track. Had good success so far with plays there.

[Volleyball] Bulgaria -150
Bulgaria were a somewhat surprise winner of Group B. They cruised through with four wins and one shock loss to Argentina. Still, overall they looked solid with a thumping 3-1 win over a quality Polish side and a 3-0 sweep of Italy to close out pool play. Germany meanwhile looked outclassed any time they played a quality opponent in Group A, losing in straight sets to Russia, USA & Brazil. These two teams met a handful of times during the summer's World League competition. Bulgaria three out of five times and made the semifinals of that competition. These two teams don't appear too far off in quality on the roster, but Bulgaria clearly has been a better side in London. Taking them straight up on the ML to prevail.

Need the USA to pull out this first set in VB to get them off to a strong start. Did not expect them to sweep Italy, but would feel better if they took a 1-0 lead.

They have talent for sure, but USA was solid in the group and just seemed like they knew how to grind it out against this team. even if they lost, did not expect 0-3. Need a miracle.

Stupid or not, if USA finishes losing - I am playing that Russia-Poland Over 3.5 with the chalk. Was my favorite POTD.

The heavy chalk on the VB total plundered me under. If I skipped that as a single play, would have been up about 0.70 units. Enjoyed the toxicity and looking forward to doing this shit again tomorrow. Volleyball, Basketball, Water Polo & Handball ready to be ravaged.

Water Polo; italy-Great Britain Under 17.5 (-110)
The only match each team played over this total came against the Aussies who led all teams in goals scored. Italy beat GB, 10-5 in pool play.

Volleyball: South Korea +2.5 sets (-105)
Koreans against the US. They are one of two teams to take.a set off the Americans in London. Soith Korea scored an upset win against. Good Italian side, 3-1. I think they can snag a set and cover.

Looks like it is hole digging 101 again today early. Water Polo ends @ 18. Koreans just blew a 20-17 lead in the 2nd set, now down 0-2 and it looks like another damn VB sweep is in store. Sheesh.

1:40pm ET: [Water Polo] Australia-Hungary Over 19.5 [-110]
These were the two top scoring teams during pool play and they kept scoring even in getting booted in the SFs. Hungary also sports the worst defense, allowing double digit goals in all five games they have played in London. The Aussies have scored double digits in four of their five games including the two biggest single game totals of 16 & 20. Hungary has also only failed to score double digits once in five tries and that was a nine goal total. Bangity bang bang this one. Should be a goal fest for the Bronze Medal.
