Government seems to grow under each party... a lot. Only difference I see is where it grow. Under the Dems more domestic spending and under the GOP more military spending. Plus almost all Rep's bring home the pork for their districts. Voters all seem to agree pork is all bad... except the pork coming my area. One of the few guys who's really been anti pork is McCain and it's was a major reason I support him in 2000 and initially in 2008.

Agreed. For gay marriage, pro-choice, want religion the fukk out of my government, love guns (literally "my cold dead hands" love of guns), prefer fiscal responsibility, am OK with raising taxes in many instances, am for a state healthcare option, would love to audit and curb the fed, and more than anything for a small government - which in itself means a lot of things and there is nothing I loathe more than two party political systems.

The problem is the idea of raising taxes/state health care is directly against the idea of my love of small government, the two cannot exist. Well, I am also a realist, and working in he constraints of our current system I find that raising taxes to actually make us solvent and improve OUR countries infrastructure is something that needs to happen under this bloated FED.

Seeing as how small central government will and can never actually happen, I have adopted certain ideologies inside a large Fed system.

As far as a "V" chip or whatever the hell I have in my TV that others want in my computer, basically, John Stuart Mill self harm principles as far as governments involvement in our everyday lives. That simple set of ideas is fundamental to a free society in my opinion. One that we haven't had in many a generation, if ever in this country.
