    Ridiculously difficult baseball trivia question
Ichiro extended his hitting streak to 12 games Sunday by going 1 for 3.
During that 12 game hitting streak, Ichiro has had one hit and one hit only in each of those 12 games.

Who holds the MLB record for the longest hitting streak where he got one hit and one hit only?
How long was that one hit hitting streak?

Hint: Think 1970 to the present, no need to look into the sixties or before.

Another hint, he is what you'd expect, a decent Punch and Judy singles hitter.

He played on another team the same time Rose was tearing it up with Bench and the rest.

He played for the Cardinals for five years (and others) but accomplished the one hit hitting streak while in St. Louis.

What I did was I looked up on Baseball Reference players who played for 5 seasons in the Cardinals in the 1970s. Then I looked at their game logs and looked for long strings of 1 hit games. Ted Sizemore was the 4th player I looked at, looked at Joe Torre, Shake and Bake Wilson and Jose Cruz before Sizemore.

These are poorly constructed "trivia" questions. Basically just guesses. Nobody knows trivia at that level unless they heard it the night before or something. SBR is just getting cheap with not wanting to give pros points.
