Roxxy & the Army, I just went through the rosters for the 2012 CANADA-RUSSIA HOCKEY CHALLENGE game tonight & here is how I see it:
-Canada will be starting Laurent Brossoit in goal (first game in tournament) & Russia will play Andrei Makarov again (won last game 6-3)
---I rate the goal tending close to equal, with Canada getting a 15% advantage for home ice & also the fact Brossoit is a 'Big Game' tender.
Canada's projected Foreward lines for today:

TC, I'm glad you & I both missed it - I would have felt very bad for funking up your parlay. Canada had a sieve in net this evening & was down by 2 goals before 7 minutes were played. Our offence was great & battled back well, but as soon as we got back into it, he let in another
At one point, Russia led 4 - 2 but by the third, Canada had tied it at 5. Brossoit let in another with a little more than 6 mins left & that was all...
Brossoit has done some serious damage to his negotiating position with this stinker. Calgary Flames have got to be wondering what they signed on for.

That loss was painful to watch, it's terrible to lose that way because of a couple of shitty goals. Brassoit definitely was off his game tonight. Canada looked amazing for the most part though, I think 85% of the game was in the Russian zone.Comment -

Agreed, we held play in their end & with almost anyone else in net (stuffed teddy bear - scarecrow...), would have taken it easily. The hitting from Team Canada has been deadly as well (especially Jenner, Wilson, & Leipsic)- there's gotta be a pile of sore folks on the Russian team this evening.
