See the problem here is that I kept getting killed on taking Chalk like that early on in baseball season. Couldn't brag about it if I wanted to.

What does it say if you are taking -150 or more favorites and still shitting the bed? Kershaw, Halladay, Verlander - all hamburgers early in the season. Only guy I could count on was fading Lincejizz in those dog days.

Good god, how does one make money on baseball? Please inform me. The season is so damn long, not being able to wager it successfully is quite a chunk out of my betting year.

Will post -150 or more ML picks for football season.

If -150 is the roughly the fair odds it still only going to win only ~60% of the time...

Personally if a bet has value I don't care if the odds are -900 or +900 as (outside the specific odds impacting the kelly calculation for betting sizing) I'm firing away regardless...

How did you arrive at the -150 ml? Picking a team/player with an expected 60% win rate(-150) then bragging is a misdemeanor at worse. It is bordline at 66.67%(-200ml) and becomes a reprehensible felony at 75%(-300). Maybe I should reevaulate my fairly lax standards, but policing -150 braggards seems like busting balls/ovaries.

Besides, you just killed my plans for Saturday night. I planned a big night posting a Machida(-325) pick thread, then bragging incessantly about my undeniable clairvoyance after the triumphant win.

Agreed with JJ if we're talking about US Sports. If you're laying above -150 in baseball, hockey etc..it sucks. However, tennis is a different sport. Any player priced -150 is not a heavy favourite. So -150 is okay in tennis for me.

If the over-round is the same and the pricing is fair a -150 favorite in baseball and -150 favorite in tennis have the exact same percentage chance of winning...
