Emotion plays a huge role in sports

I already gave the Game 6 example. It's really hard to come back the next after an emotional rollercoaster loss and try to win again. All the pressure is on and the team that houdini'd a win is playing with no pressure and with house money pretty much

Rangers will be fired up tomorrow, new pitcher and minor league call up, facing an old team mate that they would love to beat; and Angels will be thinking about what could have been. Should have been 2 back, now 4 back and still a tough road trip ahead of them.

A team that has been clawing and fighting its way back to get where they think they belong - 1st place in the AL West, finally had the Rangers on the ropes, were about to be 2 back with a chance for a sweep, blow 2 late leads against the team they are trying to catch and watch them celebrate on the field

Now all of a sudden they are 4 games back again and have to win just to stay at 3, lose and its back at 5 right back where they were to start the series. Against a team that was looking for ANYTHING to break out of a huge funk, probably just got the spark they needed to get back into their groove, with a new pitcher and outfielder called up from the minors.

I lived in California for 6 months and hated the weather

NYC here ... storms in summer all the time .. then 10 minutes later its all dry lol
