Seems this could be the last opportunity the US has for a witness the power and the glory 60+ point win. They want to be the Dream Team, they want to kill opponents, so they want at least one game like the 68 point win vs Angola in 92.

I question if Nigeria deserves to be 11.5 points lower vs US than Tunisia. Nigeria barely beat Tun by 4, and Tun was especially terrible that game.

They were embarrassed by Tunisia despite winning by 47 points. Tunisia was leading 6 minutes into the game. Coach K pulled the starters for playing like shit 5 minutes in. I heard on two occasions US media talking about Tunisia covering the spread as if it were a joke performance by US. They won't come out lax again. Don't see the line going down and -42 is solid

You can't cap spreads that big. When you got Bryant playing 9 min Carmello going perfect from the field only seeing 12 minutes, Bron only play half the game. Coach K is playing all the bench big minutes. He doesn't care about blowing out teams.

You couldn't be more wrong. Coach K doesn't give a damn about the comparisons to the Dream Team. He might play Harden, Davis and the other bench players 15-20 minutes. Expect to see Kobe, Lebron and Durant on the bench for long stretches.

I can't get a good read on this team for that reason. They aren't worried about covering the spread or trying to match the DT. Like k13 said, majority of the Nigerian players are actually American- born and raised. They played college ball here and some have minimal NBA experience. On paper they should have beat Tunisia by 15 points. Not sure what happened that game. They should keep this spread under 40, barely. I know I'd rather take the points, to be frank.

Doesn't matter what K wants. I never said the starters will be in going hard with 2 mins left. The bench wants to gun and play until the final shot clock. Davis had 2 alley oops up 40 in the 4th. Love sunk a 3 with 42 seconds left. Nobody is going to stop playing.

I had Tunisia last game and felt fortunate to cover. US won by 47 despite having 1 good quarter, 1st half trash, while Tunisia played perfect 1st half. If US doesn't start slow, they can have a 45 point lead going into the 4th and the bench easily secures a cover. Yes, there should be a better effort from the starters to blow them out early.
