It shouldnt be taxed at all. Or at least the first 13k should be tax free under the gift tax.

As long as we are throwing around handouts for athletics can I have my less than 25k income be tax free as well? Honestly I would be happy if mine was less than the 13.9% Romney pays (well from the only year we know about....) on the multi-millions he makes while joking around in campaign stumps that he is unemployed...
