Verlander should bounce back after his collapse last time. Beckett could get shelled, Verlander won't.

Verlander is a very average pitcher against the better teams in the AL. Got shelled last time in Boston. He's still best pitcher in the AL though but I made the line a tad lower for the Tigers.

Even if you are betting on action... the book is allowed to adjust the line no matter what. So even if you get Verlander for -125 against Boston's janitor... books are allowed to adjust the line accordingly.

Meaning... your price is locked in on the new pitcher for Boston. It could be Verlander -160 but could escalate to -180 at game time. Your price would be Verlander -160

Becket pitched well last time out and Verlander got hammered by the Indians.. I think beckett is pitching for his future, whether he stays in Boston or not, he needs to pitch well or he wont be saught after... And he is a very proud person so I believe the sox win this one.. Better pick in this game is the under IMO

Let me explain to you the situation Wally explained to me at TheGreek...

Pedro Martinez was coming back from an injury in 2002 or 2003... I had word that he was going to start the next day. All the books didn't have the info. So.... I forgot who the Listing pitchers were... and I said "ACTION" but Pedro wasn't listed. The line for the Boston Pitcher was -145 at home. I laid $1,450 to win $1,000 ACTION GOES. 2 hours before game time... Pedro was announced the starting pitcher. The lines adjusted everywhere... Pedro opened up at -200... at game time it went to -220 and Boston ending up winning the game. I'm all excited and saying YEAH!!! BOY!!! F'ing AAAAAAAAAAAAAA Cha ching!! Inside info works!!!

I look at the grading scale.... The Greek marked it as a win... but the line was adjusted. I quickly grabbed the phone and asked WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?! Wally goes... you must not know the rules son?? I said what??? Action means action!!! Wally goes... no... All listed pitchers and unlisted means is... do you want your money back AS NO ACTION if a pitcher doesn't throw or scheduled to throw. That's all that means. If you list it as "ACTION" books are allowed to change the line once. You get it at the adjusted price. And you HAVE ACTION!!!

I never knew that... I was so pissed off. From then on out... I always list pitchers. No Advantage of listing it as action. You have zero advantage.
