$2.33 yesterday when I filled up the old pickup truck. Not sure we'll see under two bucks as the norm here in this part of Texas by Nov 3, but maybe. I vote no however as far as the national average dipping below $2.00 by then.

I have a liberal friend who is prone to conspiracy theories. He thinks if Obama wins the election; Dubya and his oil buddies will jack up oil prices until Barack is inaugurated. He thinks gas prices are arbitrary and totally manipulated and have nothing to do with supply and demand. OPEC announced today they are cutting back output by 1.5 million barrels a day so I think you can expect to see a slight increase at the pumps. I don't think gas prices will ever go down below 2 bucks a gallon.

I didn't think i'd see under 3 dollar gas again here in chicago... and I haven't yet..

but with a quick check on gasbuddy.com I see 3 places under 3 including a 2.84 and 2.85 not too far from me...

gas prices have a way of going up right before holidays... so let's see what happens for thanksgiving.

OPEC is gonna be reducing output as well so that will change things too
