SBR YAHOO! Fantasy Football League (I Will Provide the Prize but Want Solid Peeps)

Hey guys was just at a book store the other day and saw the magazine shelf and realized that the NFL football season is just around the corner. And you know what that means...... it's fantasy football time!

Last year I wasn't too into it because I had so many other things going on and internet football wasn't my top priority but this year looks to be exciting. A lot of new faces coming into the league and some interesting off season moves plus my G-Men are coming back as defending Super Bowl champs!


So I guess this year I will start an SBR 14-team league and put a $60 cash prize to the winner and $30 to the runner up just because I am bored and as a non-pro can't do anything points related. However all I ask is that good players are involved and it stays competitive all year long.


Anyone interested?

(PS - I will do this on YAHOO! cause ESPN fantasy sports sites suck.)

I will let you know what the set up is but that is after I can get 14 people on SBR (with no multiple accounts) who are (a) knowledgeable (b) experienced and (c) competitive in fantasy football.

League Settings: (a) LIVE YAHOO! draft 14 teams -Date to Be Determined (YOU MUST ATTEND THE LIVE DRAFT)

(b) This Will be a PPR League (points per reception at .5 points per reception)

(c) This will be a DEEP DRAFT too (Meaning many positions will be starting) so you must draft well the ENTIRE DRAFT

(d) A MAX of 5 trades allowed per team per year

(e) This Will be a Head -to- Head 14 team regular season schedule (Most Points Wins the Match Up)

(f) Top SIX teams will Make the Post Season (With the Top 2 Teams Getting First Round Byes)

(g) Each Team Will Start 2 QB's, 2 RB's, 4 WR's, 2 Flex (W/R/T), 2 DEF, One Kicker a Week w/5 Bench Players

(h) Passes Completed Are Worth .25 points each, 50 passing yards per point, Running Yards 10 yards a point, Receiving is 15 yards a Point, Receptions are .5 points, Fumbles Lost are (-2) points, TD Passes Thrown are worth 5 Points, INT's are (-2). Rushing and Receiving TD's are worth 6 points.

(i) Bonuses: Rushing OVER 125 yards = 3 points bonus

RUSHING OVER 150 yards = 5 points bonus

RUSHING OVER 200 yards = 10 points bonus

Receiving OVER 125 Yards = 2 point bonus

Receiving OVER 150 yards = 6 point bonus

Passing OVER 350 yards = 4 point bonus

I've played for years and done well in the majority of my leagues, won a few, although the settings aren't at all what I'm used to I'd like to give it a shot if you'll have me.

I should be able to make a Saturday draft but not a Sunday one.

Sounds good. Yes these settings are different for a reason.....it's to separate the men from the boys.

I forgot each team will also have to start a TE and I will cut it down to three starting WR's instead of 4 and the two flex positions still remain.
