#39Man you guys are rough on me here. If you would like to see what I have been doing, just go to AIC ( American Idol conspiracy.com). I have been posting ALL of my moves on a daily basis since the 700 billion bailout. I would post all of my moves here, but I can't get here all the time,so I post them all there. Of course as luck would have it, I lost today, but the numbers that Tacomax has posted are totally for the investor that is sleeping at the switch. Employment of stop losses will get you out before a big loss.Comment -

#42The market is stalling, and probably going to take plunge pretty soon. I sold my stuff a couple weeks back, and now I'm buying up mining. Like the other guy I got a penny stock here, and there for a little bit; overseas mining, drilling, refining, etc. That stuff could explode.Comment -

#47I've moved money back to stocks. I recently bought Suncor (SU). I've been a lot less ambitious about individual stocks, but this one looks interesting. They produce oil from sands. They're bad for the Canadian environment. They received a "double pop" down - one for gas prices, and another for the market crashing - a few weeks ago, they were at 1/5 of what they were 2 years ago. Gas will get more expensive, the market will reocver.
My other big purchase lately was VTI. It's a Vanguard index fund - expense ratio is 0.2%, and very diversified. 1300 different stocks which follow the market as a whole. If you don't have time to babysit your stocks, don't try - go with a broad fund.Comment -

#52Seems like there might be a slight interest in the market here. You guys with the penny stocks are fvcking nuts. Talk about taking a gamble. Anyways, the market is so overbought it ain't even fvcking funny anymore, but I think that the fix is in. Geithner is holding up the banking stocks while they have their secondary offering. This means that the 200 day moving average is now the line of resistance and the market will probably inch up from here as long as the fed and Geithner keep proping up the banking stocks. It won't last too long however, the effects will eventually catch up and the market will see the March lows, it is a very high probablity. For now play the momentum and be on the lookout for IWM to cross back under the 200 day moving average, and for XLF to start to break down. If one or the other happens, this is a signal for you to get out, because there will be a tumbling back to March lows. Not in one shot, so don't PM me and complain about it when it only goes down to 850 on the S&P then rallies a little bit then continues down. I'm just saying that the market will be in a down trend when IWM and/or XLF cross below the 200 day moving average.
Also, I hope some of you guys have been buying mining stocks like I have been telling you since last November when everyone was ready to take a dump in a bucket and save it for later. They have been pulling back a little now that the fed is also trying to prop up the dollar a little. That's OK because even though there have been huge profits since November in stocks like AUY, GDX, NEM, XME, DIG, UIH, and others, when they pull back a little bit, it is a good time to add to your position or get in for the first time. Commodities still have a long way to run, and that is where the money will be made this year.Comment -

#55Someone explain why gm stock (now pink sheeted as gmgmq) is still selling at $1.5 per share after the bankruptcy announcement and filing? Shorts waiting to cover? Something like this makes me feel the market is indeed rigged for the big players, while the little fish out there are left in the dark. The stock should be worthless.Comment -

#56The GM bankrupt play isn't a typical bankrupcy by any means. As far as the stock price goes, the people who own the stock are all giant mutual funds and pension funds. They are now in the process of deleveraging there shares.
Some other bullshitabout this filing.
1. Banks holding company bonds are being made whole, which is unheard of. This means for every $1.00 of bond holding, they are getting $1.00 of return. Usually bond holders take a hit of like $.05 on every $1.00.
2. UAW gets another giant chunk of the company.
3. Pensions that are vested are being wiped out.
I see years of lawsuits coming over this bankrupcy.Comment -

#59I don't really like natural gas or oil right now, even though oil is making a run at the moment. I like the oil and gas service stocks but not the actual oil or gas stocks themselves. It is however the right area for the rest of the year a far as the stocks to look at. All the money for the rest of the year will be made in commodities such as all the mining stocks as everybody knows by now, some tech and financials ( shorting when Geithner gets done proping them up.)
Oh and no I'm not fvcking Swede, I can't get here on the weekdays when I am at work, so I post there during the day. Plus the traffic is very light, so I don't really have to pay attention that much so I can actually do some work at work.Comment -

#61FWIW, Geithner suddenly started negative comments about the economy a month after the annual Bilderberg Group meeting (perhaps not surprising for those who have heard of their agenda for the year). Why would he do that? You think Obama would suddenly change tunes, while nothing fundamental has changed? There may be one more upswing, but as far as I'm concerned the writing is on the wall.Comment -
