I like the cards here but they have played a long series against LAD and now they are flying to the cubs home with no rest and cubs have had a full day rest and are at home. When u put the stats together Cards seem to be the easy pick but CUbs have ben good at home lately. I hate betting the cubs at anytime but im a little worried about the cards having the energy to make this a easy game for them to win. Stats look way to good for the cards and makes them seem the easy bet. Of coarse im gonna hope on the cards but man when u put it all together as far as rest wise its hard to think cards come through real easy. Scary bet i think.

i wouldn't be surprised if cubs win this game. but the cardinals would have to hit very poorly to lose which i doubt will happen.

first 5 innings over 4 runs. these batters have just faced the opposing pitcher not even 10 days ago. big advantage to the hitters. Wood has been getting smacked bad...Lynn has to come back to earth...wouldn't be surprised if this is a 9-7 type game...but playing first 5 in case of rain.

You do realize that this was played in stl and a afternoon game right? Stl to Chicago is like an hour and half flight if that. Stl was in Chicago last night with plenty of time to get dinner and do whatever. They even sat Beltran and Berkman yesterday.

I know that but still no days of rest will take a toll on them. If they had a day between to catch up im sure it would be a lot easier is all im saying

Is this true
Cubs are 4-2 at home on Fridays this season. (I believe those are all day games). They beat the Dodgers, Red Sox, Astros, Dbacks. Lost to the Reds and White Sox.
Cubs have averaged 4.33 runs in those 6 games
Opponent has averaged 2.83 runs in those 6 games (Cubs have had 2 shutouts at home on Fri this season: Red Sox & Astros)
However, pitching matchups are everything and Maholm has 3 of the 4 Friday wins while Dempster has 1.
Volstad & Smardjiasjssaas have the 2 losses.
I would put Wood closer to the Volstad category than I would the Maholm and Dempster category.
If you're on the Cards, you can prob hedge with the under. If you're on the Cubs, you can prob hedge with Cards team total over.
