Usually the Fox affiliate will buy remaining tickets here in Minnesota since they make more in advertising than the total cost of the tickets.

Lions put up a W this weekend. This is totally in Lions fashion. Stick it to the fans some more. Vendittos lock might actually be a lock now.

Surprised there's only 5k tickets left. Place should be 1/2 empty the way the Lions are playing.

Detroit is the best sports market in America.
Fords know this.
Red Wings sell more tix, than anybody
That includes more than the Wild, Wild had more sellouts, because smaller house
But, Red Wings are good, consider untested market
Pistons can't stop selling out, but they're a good team
More consecutive sellouts in the NBA, than anybody, consider untested market
Tigers sold 24,000+ season tix in spring training, this year
Look what Tampa Rays had to do to hit that number in attendance
Lions fans are alot like the Toronto Maple Leafs fans
Maple Leaf fans are of the best in NHL and get treated with crappy team
Just like Lions fans who are very good, but rewarded with crappy team
I saw this coming when a former Lions Vice President, resigned, shortly after the hiring of Matt Millen many years ago

You're right in making a joke about it, which I believe was your intent
45 minutes north-west of Detroit is the Big House
100,000+ attendance, constantly (University of Michigan)
However, Rich Rod in Ann Arbor might jeopardize attendance
Back to the 5k in tix shortage, totally awful for Lions
Its another new low, for what could be the most embarassing franchise in professional sports
Washington is beatable, but the Lions might be too gutless to compete
I will definitely bet Redskins 1st quarter on Sunday
Going against the Lions, 1st quarter, has been the best bet in the NFL, this year

How can we get them blacked out of the Philly market so I don't need to waste my time watching them?

As I understand it, if the local team does not sell out then not only are they not on tv for that market but also those with ties to direct tv/nfl network/etc as it's part of the contract they signed.

Yes, Sunday ticket subscribers in Detroit, bars, will not have the game on.
That's right, what are they gonna do in Detroit, this Sunday, if they're not watching football-work?

The ones I feel bad for are those who are wait staff at those places and DEPEND upon the tips they get to keep a roof over their head, food in the homestead, gas in the vehicle. Those are the ones who suffer from this. Grant it, the Lions are a poor excuse of a team this season and the economy is lousy at best overall (2nd highest rate of unemployment in the nation) but it hurts more than those who dislike that team. This is the first time since the last game at the Silver Dome they did not sell out in time for tv coverage.
