Texas Tech(#8) v. Kansas(#23)
Can someone explain to me why Tech is the underdog here? Iowa St. hung 33 on the Kansas defense. Can you imagine what Tech will do? I will be suprised if they dont put up 50.

That is why they are the underdog, THEY HAVEN'T PLAYED ANYONE!!!! Texas Tech is the most overrated team in the top 15. The best team they played was Nebraska and they had to go to overtime with them. I like the over in this one.Comment -
Oddsmakers are expecting Texas tech to collapse like they usually do around this time of year. Im staying away from this game but if i had a gun to my head i would take Texas Tech. The way you beat Texas Tech is with a pass rush and pressure on Graham harrell and I watched kansas play oklahoma and USF and kansas doesnt have the pash rush. Also TT owns kansas in the series always a plus. This is the Best Texas Tech team Leach has had maybe they can avoid the collapse. Texas next on deck though could be a look ahead game. scoreboard will probably blow up in this one.Comment -

TT beat Nebraska in OT, and the A&M game should have been closer, but they put up a meaningless TD at the end of the game to make the victory look more convincing. Iowa St is worlds better than AandM, and kansas put up good points against OK. kansas at home wins this won....and the nation sees how overrated tech is. they will be lucky to be ranked 2 weeks from today after back 2 back lossesComment -

well not really an open try out but there was a contest and this guy kicked i think a 30 yard field goal so mike leech (coach) asked him to come try for the point after attempts...mike says he likes him because the ball has more projectory than the other 2. Texas Tech is grossly overrated and they are not even that much better than Kansas. Throw in the fact that Kansas is home, and I think the Jayhawks are the play here at less than a field goal.
For those of you criticizing the Kansas defense, they are allowing 21.9 points and 360.1 total yards per game. By comparison, Texas Tech is allowing 21.1 points and 351.0 yards vs. a weaker schedule.
Also, if you believe the ridiculous talk about Harrell beinhg a Heisman candidate, then that makes Reesing a Heisman candidate too, given his 69.6 percent completions, his 8.29 yards per pass attempt and his 17 touchdown passes vs. five interceptions.

This will be one of those times when there is no convincing people on either side. When weak schedules are involved, hard to know what they will do when involved in a tough game. People said the same thing about Texas against OU. I took Texas on the ML. Sometimes you gotta look past the schedule. Tech is the far more talented team here. But I guess we'll just have to wait til Saturday to see. gl to all you Kansas backers.
As far strength of schedule(to date), Tech is #81...but Penn St is #82 so far this year. Would Penn St. be a dog in Kansas?Comment -
