He was a very good hitting catcher early on in Pittsburgh. Couldn't throw BrentCrude out on the base paths though.

He was a rock solid everyday hitter through 2006.
2006 he hit .295
From 1996-2006 he had six seasons of .300 + (eight seasons of .290 +)
Never hit for much power, but he was an on base machine.
From 2007-present, it dropped off, like .50 points (was he juicing pre 2007, hmmmm?)

I'll give you this much, like Varitek, hung around 3 or 4 years longer than he should have, but Kendall was offered bank, who would turn that kind of cabbage down?
Brewers (shit for brains Selig) offered him 9 million plus for 2 seasons when it was evident he career was done, well, I'd sign too.
