He never covered up anything. He was the head coach and reported it to his AD and president.
The penn state investigation guy whoever his name is didnt even interview 4 of the top 5 people involved.

There's more than enough blame to go around and it is painfully obvious that Paterno shares in it. Why do you think Sandusky was forced out in '99? He knew of the deal in '98. They reached an agreement where he'd step aside and they'd keep quiet. Maybe they assumed it was isolated and he said he'd never do it again. Regardless, Paterno knew in '98 and again in '02. Passing the buck ain't good enough.Comment -

was there----saw them. along w/ hundreds of thousands of others. so I think although it now says different in the record books, anyone who lived during this time knows Paterno won more games than any other coach. the taking away of wins was the punishment that made no sense imo. did PSU gain an advantage on the football field by these terrible events? what happened at Penn St. was horrendous and they will be paying for it but taking wins away on paper means nothing to me. if someone punched you in the face and then wrote down on a piece of paper that it never happened I'm pretty sure you would still feel itComment -
