Good chances are coming soon for all of you long players. The market will try to hold the level it ended at today, but if it can't, we are looking at 7200. Really I have been telling everyone to short the market since February so no one should be hurting. I'm up about 40% this year biatches.

Earnings are coming in continuous beats. Outlooks are the only things that are bad. Companies are posting great revenues but everyone is just certain the consumer is going to go into a cave for Christmas. I'm not so sure. People don't pay for holiday gifts with their IRAs, and unemployment is not anywhere near the level where it can have a marked effect on overall consumer activity. Just like the market was dead wrong when it was at 14k exactly one year ago, it is dead wrong at 8k right now. I can't think of a better time than now to be considering significant positions in equities.

In terms of volatility you are absolutely correct. VIX should be around 50 or higher for quite a while.

Yes -- it is falling because all of the guys trading on margin and who have hedged on commodities are now forced to sell to meet their margin call. These damn hedgers and speculators are the reason it was $140 to begin with. I'm happy they are taking a spanking. OPEC is crying because they are only making a 25% profit instead of 300%. They can cut production if they want -- it won't matter, at least right now.

Gas traded at $1.57 today meaning that if you add the .60-.70 cents for taxes and transport cost, $2.15-$2.25 gas should be the norm in about two weeks.

It's only going to get worse! Anyone buying stocks is a complete and utter fool that soon will be parted from is money. Jobless claims up once again more than expected. Foreclosure rates nearly doubled last quarter. We are in the early stages of the most horrific depression mankind has ever seen.

This fool bought $5000 in GE last week!

I might lose for a while, but see me in 5 years!

By the way, Warren Buffett put something like 5 Billion in the market last week also, so I guess he is a fool also?
