I like the play, although lock and Detroit Lions should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Just not impressed with Washington. I think they are going to offer some good bet-againsts, starting this week.

What makes people think the Lions will have a chance this coming Sunday? What have they done to improve themselves since last week? One shouldn't play the "they're due" card with the NFL as the lone reason to wager upon a team.

True, I think the lions get one win this year! Where and when is a good question but they will get some team to trips on their own shoelaces!

Houston nearly doubled their first downs and were successful at it (doubling) the time of possession. Washington, even on a bad day, is four times better than Houston. This game should be ass ugly - at least that's how I see it right now.

Problem I see (not saying Lions will win but more spread wise) Wash plays a passive offensive style of football. They wear u out with the run game and hit u with the playaction. They can and have scored pts dont get me wrong, but I think that they might when this game like 24-10 or something like that! This could be a back door cover game for either team in my mind!

I hope they drop `em all, get rid of the entire coaching staff that was associated with MM, then do the same with players he (MM) brought in. Not to mention, if they did drop `em all, they'd tie a record.
Sorry, they are bad and not in good sense. Too many holes to fill on both sides of the ball let alone special teams. If all goes well, maybe in three seasons they can be a .500 team, most likely one's looking at five more years with the same results.

You know with last year and the Vick thing that was my thinking of the falcons last year/this year! But look what they have done so far in less than a year of being the worst team in the league! Some good free agent signing and drafting and the lions COULD be better off in less than 5 years!

That I could see if they get double-digits (haven't looked at the lines this week ~ it hockey season) but realize if your book has a first quarter option one might want to look into going against the Lions as they have been brutally slow starters this season.

One would like to think so but when coaches and players go their they get "Lionized". "Lionized" is the ability to not be able to function properly while their, but once you get lucky enough to leave you will regain full capacity. Their are a few exceptions to the rule, one being the 17 (?) year vet kicker - year in, year out he's been the one "good" thing about the squad.

I can't believe how shitty the Lions have been this year. I thought for sure they would be an 8-8 team at the least.

Wait until the line jumps to +350, +375, maybe even +400.

detroit doesnt even have roy williams anymore. washington will destroy them. bad play. only way the lions can win is with a freak accident inzone fumble for a touchdown where cambell, cooley and portis all get hurt on the same play. even then its not a guarantee.
dont discount the skins cuz they lost to the rams.

I'm not playing this one, but I'd lean towards Washington. Detroit is just in a sad state of affairs right now. They'll pick up a win eventually, but not against this tough Washington team.

Portis is gonna run all over the Lions. Anything less than 150 yards and 2 TDs would be a disappointment.
