catchy title for my first post, eh?! long, long time bettor (small).. somewhat long time forum lurker. never really had anything to say until now. sorry if the mini rant is a bit too long!
i was betting with intertops for years. most of what's said here about them is still true. really crappy software. you know, for example, you have a handful of tennis games with a start time of 8:00am. they're usually off the board by 7:55. but of course it's tennis, where it's common something like 2 games will start on time and the rest of that handful get pushed back an hour or two. yet it's rarely adjusted via their software. same with rain delays. game could start 5 hours later, you'll never see the line. tennis is just one example.
then you have the bets that process almost instantly, but others that stay frozen as pending for 30? 60? 90 minutes? basically, whenever the hell it wants to give your money to you. i've temp closed my account numerous times over those years because of it. months ago i had a match end and i was waiting for my $700. i was going to place it on a +240 dog. it had a hour to clear. easy, right? took close to 2 hours. the dog won.. my money was pending. almost buried my fist through the screen.
i came back and decided to give them one more try. didn't take long for one of my winning bet results to be processed wrong. i had to wait for it be switched to the correct status, then wait again for the process. yet again missed another match i wanted to bet on that won. so that was finally enough for me and i hit up customer support to close me out.
i get a reply from the "vip" email. they say ok (which always pisses me off when you do business with any type of place for years and losing a customer seems like no big thing to them..) and asked if there was a specific reason.. that type of stuff. i mostly told them about the software and lines. i get a thank you reply, my comments will be passed on for consideration, etc. i send a reply how i've been telling them for years and nothing is done.
i then offered them a deal (another long rant) i thought was fair to both sides as the only way i'd be interested in staying. i'm told my account will be reviewed by their bet manager. really, i didn't care either way. we work a deal or i move on. no big thing. so a few days pass, i ask for an update. same thing.. being reviewed. now i'm a little pissy. what takes days to review?! i send a reply explaining things better. i get the same exact reply back as the previous one, word for word. now i'm super pissed at the drone support.
so now we're at a week (technically 5 days since the "vip" customer support doesn't do weekends. UNREAL.) i had originally thought their support was good until this.. now realizing it's pretty much like calling your cable company and they read a script to you. i send a final reply that i need an answer by the end of the night, which they didn't get it in time, so i have to wait for the weekend to pass. 9 days total now.
when i get the reply, it's "sorry, we don't do that." WHAT??? i was fuc*** livid. 9 days of emails, saying my account was being reviewed, etc.. and they knew the answer from the beginning?! so i was just lied to and given the runaround for some unknown reason. i told these pricks to remove all my information, clear my history and all that. and after telling me it's secure and done.. i still get a "temporary closed" message if i try to log in. maybe i live on a different fuc*** planet.. but REMOVE ALL my info to me means it won't exist.
whatever the F ever i guess. it just pisses me off when you stick with a company for years despite their faults/issues/problems and then they all but shit on you when push comes to shove.
i must be living in the past. i remember long ago when 'sportsbook.com' was great. they overnighted me monday night football tickets one time (great seats.) a jacked up, loaded sirius satellite system for christmas. a bunch of other things as well for being a solid member. i wouldn't have even known how quickly they hit the shitter if not for reading these forums years ago. did everything and everyone go to crap like 5-6 years ago?? i used to enjoy betting. now it seems like a major goal just to not get fuc***.
