Lin played good for 2 weeks. Wouldn't give him $25 million either. He isn't worth it.

LOLLL so true. Lin single handily took away the spotlight on Giants winning the superbowl, the biggest stage in sports. Truly was a phenomena. Wether or not Lin deserves 25mil, the amount of money he will bring is worth it.

The only reason the price is so high is because of Linsanity. Hes worth money to a franchise just because it will draw fans. Houston may get 1 or 2 more nationally televised games SOLELY because of Lin. People love to root for an underdog and especially for an Asian-American which is rare in the NBA. Remember how much people loved Yao?
Hes not worth it as a player, and won't work as well with the Knicks this year.

In addition to Lin's $15m salary on the 3rd year, the luxury tax penalties the Knicks has to pay in that year is at least $17m, and probably more if they keep a few mid-level salary players. So essentially it is a $32+m question, this not even counting the first 2 years. Money is never a problem for Knicks owner, but the question/doubt for spending so much money is there.

Melo ABS wanted lin gone. When lin is playing and winning no one in NYC wants to talk ab melo, wants melo on the team, wants to pay melo all that money, wants to watch stagnant ball hog half court sets, wants to watch losing selfishness. With all that being said melo is still one hell of an individual talent and way better than lin.
