I am one who said wait for all facts to come out regarding Joe Pa.

Well, they're out, and I have ripped up my Penn State fan card. I threw away the 2 penn state shirts I had. I'm not messing around with this fandom anyway, I'm embarrassed to have supported this guy.

Wouldn't go that far. The NCAA expressed regret in the death penalty for SMU... I think they'll just pile on the sanctions and let public opinion do most of the damage for the program. I wouldn't be surprised if PSU shut themselves down.

Part of reason I think no death penalty is because it involved no players.

Kind of like how this thing at Arkansas with Petrino... basically paying a girl to sleep with him is what it sounds like to me, won't be any sanctions because it involved no players.

Actually you cant give the death penalty ...Why the kids playing football there now and the coaches and the new admin had zero to do with this. Yes guilty as hell but the penalty should be all those guys (coaches and admin involved) banned from other colleges for life. If you hire one of them your school should get the death penalty

i say move it. Don't just strip his legacy from PSU forever because he failed (miserably) in a situation only a handful of people in the entire world could possibly relate to... this entire scandal is as terrible as any scandal in major sports ever, but Joe Pa is the reason Penn St. is as a popular/successful school as it is, without him, Penn St. would be as awesome as schools like Georgia State, Idaho State, Texas State etc...

Move it inside a building perhaps? It would prevent drunken vandalism and lower the prominence it has overarching the stadium. I dunno, I just hate to see a legitimately good person lose his name and legacy over decisions he wasn't fully responsible for (arguably minimally responsible for)...

upper 70s man hears accusation from a kid he barely knows that his 30 year old friend is doing bad shit...

I like to believe Joe Paterno puts the cuffs on Sandusky himself if he knew the scope/magnitude of the situation, but I don't know anymore.

we would all like to believe in a "just-world" (including me) but unfortunately circumstances come in when one may not be able to handle them in the most proficient manner

injustices such as these crimes occur a lot in our world, we should look at the arrest and (almost definite) life sentence of Sandusky as a positive thing. Other people fukked up. Who's to say you wouldn't fukitup too? Kill the pedophile, maim the "accessories" but leave them something...

Being this is something that hits close to home. I think the football program should donate 100% of money that comes in to family's that are affected by child molesters. Family's get hit hard with bills from therapy and loss of work.

If it does not come down, it will eventually be missing. Be proactive and keep the graffitti, eggs, condoms, and shower curtains off the statue and tear down this statue.
