So far, I've been aboard since day 1.

I have nothing to say but good things about SBR. I came from Covers and while covers has a lot of great articles, if you ever go into a forum I challenge you to find one thread in which some type of confrontation doesn't start. At first, I just thought it might be in the political rooms but then it turned out it was everywhere. There is nary a thread there where people don't start attacking each other whether it's their politics or their sports picks. Then to top it off, once someone wins they bring back up their thread and brag about it as if they've never won a bet. I said screw it. There are still some posters there I admire and look for to see what they have to say but they are few and far in between. Not to mention, there are quite a few posters who lie about thier records or try or think they are touts.

What I am liking about this forum is that it is a small group of individuals who are contributing by posting relevant information and good friendly banter and a nice exchange of ideas. Nobody is bragging or showing off so far. For example, last week i asked about whether to take BC +2.5 or BC +112 I got a good response. If I had posted that at Covers I would have got something like "It doesn't matter dude, FSU is going to win easy" or "don't waste your money, BC sucks ass" or some stupid crap like that.

Discussions tend to be frank and so far I can say I am a better gambler for posting here. There are a lot of great discussions about line movement, middling, scalping, how to spot bad lines, public money, etc... Not to mention there are some serious dicussions about the gaming industry. I mean someone correct mean if I am wrong but I thought the whole idea of a forum was to exchange ideas so we could ALL become better gamblers by helping each other out. The mods are doing a really good job and making things lively and hopefully by years end, the forum will grow with more positive contributions from new members.

I think this shit is hilarious because I know exactly what he means. A gambler will tell you, "who cares about the juice or the half point!! Team XYZ is a lock!". Might as well go to an AOL chat room if that is all you get.

I also been to MW where everyone is too smart to contribute and are afraid to show that they dont know everything. BUT, they are ready to rip everyone else down.

Thanks for the well written post and the good points. SBR is a cool place where friends hangout so the mods are on the lookout for the hate mongers.

Our goal with the forum was to have a place to have fun and see what you the players have to say first hand. We are all pleasantly surprised at how many posters there are here.
