John, people flip if there's a glitch and they don't get their daily log in points. Guys have been wearing their tinny hats for the past few days because they thought their threads were deleted. There is another contingent who cries if their threads are moved to the Saloon. Then you've got the guys who complain about book ratings. Others who complain about staff. Etc...

How on Earth do you propose to pick this elite team to represent SBR?

Hey man, I speak from the heart. You always seek to win and when someone is a respectable and dominating nemesis, losing isn't what I'm concerned with but I'll make them work for it all night long. It adds a fuel to my fire.

Example: The show Survivor. Occasionally, on certain seasons, I've seen 3 remaining competitiors hanging on to a pole for over 10 hours to have control. Sometimes, they beg and bargain with their opponent because one might be younger or physically stronger or whatever. I, Will2survive, will not let go of that pole. I would hang on to it for dear life whether tendons were tearing or anything. If I felt like I didn't have anything left, I would use my ability to adjust and use my mind. I once saw a movie in where a superior officer made a private hold onto a pole with heavy buckets on the end in sweltering heat. Obviously the private didn't have the strength to hold it up but he mentally removed himself from his body in order to hold the buckets up (I think Jan Michael Vincent was the actor). This is the apporach to life that I've applied. If the odds seem insurmountable or overwhelming, I channel the energy on something else to alleviate the burden and help's me overcome odds that one would not think that they can overcome.

We could have an open tourney for 10 seats. Then we could have a tourney with those 10 seats and our current top 10. the top 8 in that tourney would represent SBR. I doubt anyone would think that was an unfair qualifying method.

A)The best players don't play SBR poker (ttwarrior).
B)That list only shows the guys who "have no lives" and play all the time. Many people "have lives" and don't play regularly. Thus, it should go by points cashed/tournaments played (several others).

So your basing your guys who are playing for forum rep on who has ran where for just this specific set of tourneys. Half of the guys in that bracket are calling station donk boxes who have just been running hot for a while. There ability to limp, check, call will get laughed off of any legitimate poker game and this is what you want representing SBR.

Why not go back further, why not use some other clarification that involves me being involved. I have been involved or near the top of every SBR poker leaderboard since I signed up.

Of course Im kidding (kind of).

John/Shari or whoever, heres an idea for the format of the tourney. 10-15 players per team. And points are accumulated based on your finish. If 45 players, 45th gets 1 point, 44th 2, etc. All the way to first getting 45. Add up players from each teams score to get a team winner. Make a decent incentive for individual winners as well to discourage chip dumping/soft play(cash probably gets the job done).

I think if they had more time (they want to do this before football season and the SBR Championship is still going on) they could have a better system of picking people for this. But as it is, I guess John's idea is alright.

I also understand what DS is saying, but how far back do you go?

You could also add in the weekend tournaments since some guys play those more than the weekday ones.

I went all in with ace-jack and eventually the guys calls with jack-9 since he knew that i was trying to steal. well he won with a 4 card board flush

this should be done by poker player ratings , i dont sit around and play silly 10 pt tourneys daily , i play poker for real cash ,and come on to sbr to have fun and enjoy playin for pts without having worries , i am one of the few professional poker players on this site , i can prove / meet anybody in my local casino and out play them heads up / tourney / cash game , whatever you want. If you are gonna represent our forum you better choose carefully otherwise it could turn out to be a circus and get embarrased.
