Detectives said four people in a Kia Soul were driving between Sunrise Boulevard and Sample Road about 5:40 a.m. when Bevins Bennett, 20, of Riviera Beach, was shot.

The driver of the vehicle drove Bennett to the emergency room at North Broward Medical Center, where the shooter got out of the car and fled on foot, deputies said. Bennett remains at the hospital in critical condition.
Deputies identified the shooter as Antoinne Hester, 22, of West Palm Beach.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Anyone with information about the shooting or Hester's whereabouts is asked to call detectives at 954-765-4321.

That scares me. I watched it all, and I hope I never end up getting shot because I happen to be in a place where a gang is protecting its turf and shooting anyone who shouldn't be there.

(CBS) A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Devin Hester’s cousin, who is wanted for murder in Broward County, Fla.

Antoinne Hester, 22, is being sought for the murder of Bevins Bennett, 20, who died Saturday after being shot July 4. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to CBSChicago.com that Antoinne Hester is the cousin of Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester.
Bennett was shot while he, the suspect and two others were inside a green Kia Soul on I-95 July 4. The incident happened around 5:40 a.m. and the driver of the vehicle drove Bennett to the hospital while Hester got out of the car and fled.
Bennett died Saturday at Broward Health North.

if true...its pretty sad. gotta be hard to be the sibling of someone so successful, but no excuse if he did the crime. max scherzers bother just committed suicide last week. im not sure i could handle having my brother be rich and famous and followed by groupies. how can you not be insanely jealous?
