I also like Prince and Trumbo a little bit. Don't like taking the real young guys in these type of things though so probably pass on Trumbo . I think most of them try to hard and fail

This is an endurance, timing, and technique contest. Remember, Bobby Abreu hit 24 homers in a 10 out time frame. It's not about whose the strongest like Hamilton, Big Papi, Fielder, etc. it's about who has a nice stroke. Cano fits that mold. Could Beltran? It's a possibility. I just see a guy that paces himself winning. Will Trumbo pace himself? I don't know. Lot's of factors come into play. Beltran used to play for KC. How will he react to the environment and how will the fans react to him?

Isn't the derby pitch like pretty slow? I took Bautista because I watched him the other day and he swings so hard i bet he will crack a bunch.

they're certainly not 90+ mph fastballs.
bautista is a smaller guy, balls won't be coming off the bat without fb's

Do you really think the size of a hitter is the main factor in determining how much power he has?

consistent smooth swing is what matters most, as well as park, but this year that probably doesn't matter
there seems to be a strong trend toward lefties doing well in general, so that may be a strike against trumbo, but he won the HR derby in double A a few years ago, so that makes me think HR derbies could be his "thing", so i backed him this year
