as long as i can manage to only lose a small amount, i'm happy. i know i have no shot in the long run, its about keeping the losing to a minimum.

i get the itch to gamble about once a month.

deposit 300 somewhere that is offering a big bonus. gamble my ass off for as long as possible.

As soon as i'm at 0 in my account, i tend to stay away from gambling for at least a month because the idea that you cant make money gambling is still fresh in my mind.

It has taken over 10 years, but I can reach all of my rollovers and withdraw at the end of each football season. So yes, I consider myself a successful gambler 10 times over. I am much better at handicapping contest against other cappers than against the books, so you have to know your strengths and weaknesses. I can outcap the next guy better than beat the books over time.

Well I used to consider myself a successful gambler but probably no longer. Igrew up in India and used to bet on Cricket, the game was different and we used to get only live odds and smarts can make a lot of money buy by leaning on the right side. For example if you knew that the fav was going to come out strong then you take them at -180 -200 without any thought because you knew you would get the dog at +400 +500 and at times at +1000. Or you go the other way by betting the dog at +200 and then get the original fav at + money.
I started betting last year in American sports, was moderately successful but the NBA was a killer and towards the end discovered SBR and the input from fellow punters (as they are called the worldover) so have recovered a little but speaking honestly I can't tell if I will be successful in the long run in American Sports.
Bottomline if you can get live odds and hedge you will come out a winner (it has it's drawbacks too specially if you hop on the wrong train). I can't tell you how many times I have placed a bet so huge that if I lost instantly it would take years to pay back (of course those bets were made with the understanding that you would hedge). I have all my life made money that way but I am not sure I can do it betting on Baseball, Basketball.
