Twins-Rangers Total HRs Over 2 [-140]
Derek Holland is back tonight and that's good news for the gopher ball. Holland was giving them up readily before he was forced to the DL with a virus. He gave up eight of his eleven HRs in his last four starts prior to going on the DL. So you're thinking maybe it was all this virus or something? Go to the last rehab start, Holland cruising into the 5th and then allows 5 runs - three dingers. Twins starter is an unknown factor. Samuel Deduno. 29-year old righty has had a couple cups of coffee with the Rockies & Padres in the last couple season with just 5.2 IP at the major league level. He didn't give up a ton on HRs in the minors, but that is the minors where he did have walk issues at times. If he is getting behind hitters, he will be in trouble against the powerful Rangers lineup that is begging for a breakout game to break their losing streak. I think the combo of Holland + the inexperienced Deduno should yield some homers tonight. Rangers average about 1.4 per home game and are in a bit of a drought. Time to feed the beast.
