Kershaw -110 = lowest odds of the entire season for him
And it's against a guy named Josh Collmenter who according to ESPN is about to lose his spot in Arizona's rotation. Can anyone explain this?

    Kershaw's previous lines this season:

    Apr 5@ SD -152
    Apr 10vs PIT -220
    Apr 15vs SD -200
    Apr 21@ HOU -210
    Apr 27vs WSH -180
    May 2@ COL -165
    May 8vs SF-200
    May 14vs ARI-150
    May 19vs STL-143
    May 25vs HOU-220
    May 30vs MIL-157
    Jun 4@ PHI-120
    Jun 9@ SEA-130
    Jun 15vs CHW-120
    Jun 21@ OAK-145
    Jun 26@ SF-115
    Jul 1vs NYM-140

Dodgers are 6-6 in his last 12 starts. That is about the only reason I can see the line being so low.

Why would a losing streak make them less of a dog?

I don't think the Dbacks are very good so I wouldn't necessarily consider them due.

But the Dodgers do have 1 run in their last 2 road games started by Kershaw. I'd expect a 3-2 type game, even though it is a launching pad, these offenses just aren't good right now.

Are people saying that a losing streak is considered a positive thing on the line? I've always thought it was the opposite. For example, when a team's losing streak starts to become really long they'll usually be +200 or +300 dogs no matter who's pitching because so many people will be fading them. Does that only apply to long losing streaks?

no I'm not, I am just a fkn idiot and misread the post

with that said, I'm not a big Kershaw guy and feel he has control problems from time to time... like Gibson and feel he'll get the ship righted at some point but won't be putting money on it... good luck

arizona started as a small favorite. everyone will be all over the dodgers and kershaw at such a great price. that's why i will be playing zona.

bottom line is zona rakes against lefties (not so hot numbers against kershaw tho),, but they incredibly cold right now so who knows, i hate playing teams on such a bad losing streak but i think they will put some runs up on cy kershaw..

The Dodgers are also the team that will be trying to score runs for him today. That alone makes it a no play.

over is somewhat appealing to me..not a great ump as would like a low k % guy with kershaw on the bump...have to look at this one more when i get home

                              His arm is dead boys

his arm is not completely dead but he isn't pitching like he did early in this season or the way he finished last year. He could probably benefit from skipping a couple starts to get his arm rested.

dodgers will win when you expect them to lose and they will lose when you expect them to win.

best option for tonight is to pass.

he's not been too dominant for the last month +. BUT Arizona is cold as shit right now, no hitting at all.

Probably a pass, even though Collmenter is garbage

                                        how is collmenter garbage?

                                        last 30 days:
                                        18.1 IP
                                        18 Ks
                                        6 BB
                                        0.98 ERA
                                        1.15 WHIP

last year he was a pretty solid pitcher as well, he also has 46K's through 51 IP this year...not that bad, im laying off this game betting wise but i spot started him for my fantasy team tonight

This is indeed a mysterious line. I am taking the chance on the Dbacks -104.

Dodgers 6-7 last 13 starts. Some ace.

If there was a time I'd lay off of Kershaw, it would be the time when he faces the third best team vs lefties (.AVG), (also a team that is top 5 at home).
