Yes they do Chalky! Don't get me wrong I grew up in the 80's so as a kid I always loved Mac and Bonds they were great players. It's just not the steroids scandal that sets me off. Part of it is how they dealt with it and their smug attitudes regarding the situation.

I think a comparable is Dale Murphy, two away from 400, two time MVP, five time gold glove. He is struggling to get 25% votes. Unless Papi gets to 500 HRs or very close, I think he would come up short for the HOF.

It will be a shame if he doesn't get in essentially just because the voters didn't like his personality. This is baseball, not American Idol. Anybody who doesn't vote for him should have to sign an agreement that they won't vote for A-Rod either when the time comes.
