Summary:

Casinos value these sharps based on their level of play, overlooking the fact they use every available comp and wind up taking house money when they leave most every time.

Always nice to have a sports sharp or two as well, to tell you where to lean lines to the right side. Sadly, corporate Vegas is too slow/stupid to act on these guys.

I'll have to add this.
I had a friend that worked in these Indian Casinos, here in New Mexico(which is obviously not as lavish as Nevada, but not my point).
He told me that they would pay for plane tickets, greet these wealthy guys w/ limos.
Comp the hotel rooms
pay for the transportation for these high roller guys to, leisurely, get around town.

So, I'm pretty sure they do this all over the place and not just Vegas.
