umm.. no.. your taxes won't increase. Obama says he will continue the Bush tax cuts for all but the top two tax brackets, which you aren't even close to.

the American dream is to succeed without limit? No, you have to have checks and balances in a system, but i'm tired of hearing about people who make over 250K complaining they will have to pay 2-3 % more.
And there is No Way if you make less than 50k your taxes are going up more than 5k, that's 10% on top of whatever you're already paying.

I live in Canada and I still use and pay for my USA Blue Cross because socialized medicine SUCKS! Want a family doctor? It's an 8 year minimum on the waiting list! Need heart bypass surgery? You go on a waiting list too. Get a cold, the flu, etc...go to the emergency room, sit there for 8+ hours and then see a 'doctor' for about 3 minutes. The Canadian system is horrible. You and Michael Moorer should use it.

PS It's not 'free' here either...I pay HUGE taxes as well as a $600/year premium for OHIP, which I NEVER use!

So you have no basis for your belief that your taxes will increase (which seems an odd thing to worry about in the first place if you don't live in the US) other than your distrust of Democrats.

People at your income level are the beneficiaries of income redistribution through progressive tax rates and government spending, so if you are as selfish as you claim, you should vote Democrat.

I work and travel to the USA. It's about a 5 minute drive. The American system, while not perfect, is far superior to the Canadian. Obviously, if it were comparable in any way I would use it as I am already paying for it, and I would get a bonus of $3,000 for declining Blue Cross through my employer, not to mention I would not have to pay the $50 premium per pay period. Keep in mind Canada only has 30 million residents, try implementing this system on a scale of 350 million...impossible.

Just today he stated...when I leave the senate I want an African American to be appointed to my seat. Nobody batted and eyelash. 8 years ago Bush was running on a campaign that they will restore moral and decency to the office and strengthen the military who they claimed moral was down by the Bill Clinton.

Right now the military is dying and fighting an unjust war with no exit strategy thanks to a clueless commander in chief. Moral and decency went to hell, with this current administration abridgment on people civil rights by doing illegal wiretaps and not allowing legal representation for innocent captive's in Guantanamo bay.

you don't get taxed as an American if you live outside the states and your money earned is not from here(the US).
The IRS can not tax me anywhere i live, unless somehow i'm still making money from the states somehow.

now i'm not sure about your situation cause you spend so much time in the US and technically work in the US, but i'm pretty sure you would only be taxed under the country of residence. you said you have to pay American taxes and Canadian taxes? That makes no sense. Plus you said you have to pay for OHIP even though you don't use it, yet you have Blue Cross through your employer. OHIP is for people who live in the Ontario province of Canada, it is open to only Canadian citizens and you have to claim Ontario as your main residence. Why would you be forced to pay into a system that you don't use and are not a Canadian citizen and you pay taxes to America? Do you claim the US or Canada as your main residence throughout the year?
