Long term: HOUSE edge = house hold = theoretical hold.

Short term: HOUSE edge = theoretical hold, house hold != HOUSE edge.

From a player's perspective, when you say EDGE - especially in the context you did, without qualifying it as HOUSE edge, it means the opposite.

um sorry but blackjack is the only beatable game in the casino, even if you don't count cards it has a super small (HOUSE) edge of .5% or so compared to other games.

maybe house edge of 0.5% is if you play perfect. the average BJ player is not gonna have anywhere near a -0.5% edge. the average player is better off playing roulette or craps
