How is Starlin Castro an all star? Numbers don't warrant it at all. Coming from a Cubs fan.

Leads all NL shortstops with 94 hits and a .298 batting average

Castro also has the most multi-hit games in the NL since 2011 (85)

I would guess he also has the most at bats of any NL short stop in the last 2 years, by far. He never misses games and hits high in the order. His OBP is embarrassing, kid seriously needs to learn how to take a walk.

lol Zack Greinke not in either. The whole process is a sham. Braun not starting either for the NL....what a joke.

How about Ernesto Frieri? 0.77 era, 58 k's in 35 innings? Opponents have less then 10 hits against him.

                  LaRussa is an idiot

It's clear Yu Darvish is going to win the 31st vote because Japan is going to stuff the ballot box for him

NL 31st man... Cueto isn't even up for vote there. Mindblower

I know he is but how can he not be put on before any other reliever in the AL? Maybe Johnson but nobody is as dominate as Frieri right now.

The whole process is stupid: the fans voting, 25 online votes nonesense, the game counting for home field in the WS, managers selecting pitchers, etc...

lots of changes will be made to the rosters, due to injuries, the extra voting, reserves for starting pitchers that will not be able to go due to where they are scheduled to start in proximity to the All-Star game

fanboy ballot stuffing universe and Larussa dead drunk asleep at a green light universe..

I mean I get that Lynn had a GREAT april and may. and his numbers are skewed by his last 3 starts...

                                but c'mon

Based on the numbers I keep on all pitchers, I actually have Zack Greinke as the single best pitcher in the NL with Stratsburg 2nd.

Honestly, leaving ZG off is mind-boggling.

LaRussa is a senile old fart who shouldnt be managing this All Star game

Ron Washington outmanaged him last year but LaRussa just got lucky his players bailed him out

Cant wait for Ron to take him to school again in the All Star game

I would imagine Grienke could ot give two fukks, and wil happily take a vaca. The guy will be the most sought after free agent come winter anyway.

yeah ZG's periphereal numbers have been off the charts in 2011 and 2012 but no one is noticing because he is in milwaukee and not winning a ton now.

but yeah I agree totally Buddy

With documented anxiety issues... in KANSAS CITY, I doubt teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Cubs, etc are going to throw big money at him.

yeah don't forget his 1 caught stealing!

but fanboys want to see big names and power.

His stats are so weird, even he admits he is the worst player in the game when he isn't hitting a HR or walking...

34 out of 58 hits for extra bases? that many SO's and few hits but a .875 OPS... Kingman, Rob Deer move over!

Pablo Sandoval starting over David Wright too? How is a guy who has been on the DL most of the 1H make it. Especially after he was trailing in the voting. Talk about SF fans stuffing the ballot box.

And people wonder why everyone gets suspicious after presidential and congressional elections.

Lol just noticed Adam Dunn made it to with a .213 batting avg and 125 k's. Another nice pick by the fans.
                                                  1. I do agree he didn't make the team.

                                                  2. Fans didn't vote him in.
