    No it is not. The oddity is in that the player got a 1B, 2B, 3B, and HR all in the same game. Over the course of a season, you would expect a player to do all that, just not in one game. Has nothing to do with "luck seems to favor the prepared"....all mlb batters are "prepared"

      The cycle is the stupidest thing they make a big deal about. Two homer two doubles and 6 RBI not in the history books. Oh boy a cycle you are. I remember last year a player needed a single for cycle and stretched it in to double and I think it was a blowout. Better game for him, more total bases but of course not a stupid cycle. So much talk about cycles lately some people need to change their tampon.
