Hotel rooms in Vegas are only for fukking, showering/changing clothes and sleeping a couple of hours. Thats pretty much it.

If I go to Vegas for a week, I will spend 6 days/nights on the strip, one day/late night downtown.

Will never stay downtown.

Only go downtown for cheap/degenerate gambling.

Downtown has a more dirty feel to it, I hate it. I don't think it's worth going to vegas if you aren't going to stay on the strip. I agree though with chalk.. If i'm there for like a week I'll go down there one night, especially if I'm with someone who hasn't been.

When I go to Vegas it is to gamble... Since more money in my pocket means more gambling if I'm paying for the room I'm going to grab the cheapest room I can find that is clean and I don't have to dodge bullets to get to the room...

BTW if your first concern is really the quality of the room Mathy is right that the best values in Vegas for a hotel room (high end or low end) are neither downtown or on the strip...

KM- downtown cocktail room, beauty bar and insert coins are 3 places worth checking out downtown. nice looking local girls and mellow vibes. none of the edm crap. saw bran nubian and de la at insert coins last time i went home.

Ive only ever stayed on the strip. Never even been downtown. I'm sure its nice down there but my fiancée has expensive taste so we stay on the strip... Plus, she's the one paying.
